Think Equality Donegal (TED) Project Awarded multi-year funding from The Equality Fund 2020-2023

Donegal Intercultural Platform along with its project partners Donegal Local Development Company CLG (DLDC) and Donegal Travellers Project (DTP) are delighted that the ‘Think Equality Donegal’ Project was awarded multi-year funding from the Equality Fund back in mid-2021.

The Fund supports organisations and groups that empower marginalised communities and tackle systemic inequality. A total of eleven civil-society projects throughout Ireland have been selected to share part of the €3 million funding and we are delighted that Think Equality Donegal (TED) was among the chosen projects.

The primary focus of this collaborative initiative is to develop and deliver training on the issues of Public Sector Duty, equality and diversity and to work in tandem with the Intercultural Training Team managed by Donegal Travellers Project (DTP) and supported by the Intercultural Platform. The TED team are based in the Platform Offices on Oliver Plunkett Road in Letterkenny and cover the county.

The two part-time project staff are Caitlin Reder, Equality Officer and Roisin O’Neill, Community Links Worker.
