Fáilte Isteach – Welcoming Migrants through English Conversation Classes

After the covid pandemic forced us to move online – we are really pleased to say that we are now back delivering face-to-face English conversations workshops in a variety of locations across Donegal. Classes are taking place every Wednesday in the Library in Letterkenny from 10.30 to 12noon, in Letterkenny Pastoral Centre Training room every Tuesday 10.30 to 12; Donegal Town Mondays 10.30 in the Church of Ireland hall. We have classes in Dungloe each Monday and  Kilmacrennan on Wednesdays at 10.30am in the old school house. Bundoran on Tuesday afternoons 2pm in the Community centre and Milford also on Tuesdays in the ETB until the end of July and then moving to the Public Services Centre for August. We hope to add Buncrana, Malin and Carndonagh during August as well. If you would like to help – we always need conversation facilitators – email donegalip@gmail.com text 0860841433 or use the ‘contact’ tab in the website. Thank you.

The Donegal Intercultural Platform has organised free English conversation classes every week at Letterkenny library between 10.30am and 12.30 since 2016. All our classes are delivered in partnership with Fáilte Isteach – the national organisation that coordinates these supports for refugees, migrant workers and people seeking international protection. If you would like to volunteer as a tutor call/text 086 084 1433.
