Afghanistan Humanitarian Crisis – Admissions Programme

The Donegal Intercultural Platform worked with colleagues in The Irish Refugee Council and supported by the NGO NASC to help identify Afghan people in Donegal who needed support with regard to their visa status, refugee status, work issues and applications for Family Reunification. A number of people living in Donegal made applications however, the Platform believe this was a tragically missed opportunity, with conditions set at impossibly complex levels and, in practice, Ireland failed those it claimed to want to assist.

The Afghan Admissions Programme has closed for new applications from March 11th 2022.
